Handmade quilt - The black of the night followed by the white of the day……….each in complete harmony with the other. Colours, lying deep inside the human soul – black and white……black of hatred and white of love, black of violence and white of peace. A handmade king quilt in black and white of the human soul, of day and night, with fishy quilt patterns on both sides. Fishes in Indian iconography are considered divine for the symbolic intervention of heavenly love, fertility and procreation attached to it. Diagonally placed fishes on squares facing each other on one side and fishes with some primitive patterns on the other side of the quilt; wavy border on one side and bubbles on the other………creating a radiance of symbolic love all through. Quilt with shams that keep you near to your soul, radiating divine love all around.

Artisans: The block/screen printing and quilting community comprising of around 100 artisans are based in Sanganer, in the outskirts of Jaipur. The block prints of Sanganer are mostly executed on a white or off white background, using screen printers or wooden blocks. They are colorful patterns of sunflowers, roses, geometric designs. Sanganer prints are known for their fine and intricate detailing.
