THE ARTISANS: The group of artisans from Bhagalpur in the State of Bihar in India, belongs to a clan of weavers involved in weaving handloom silk for several generations. With the advent of mechanized processing, this traditional art was in danger of becoming extinct. With concerted efforts through design inputs and process improvements, this old craft has been revived and made more relevant to modern requirements. Supporting ‘Tana Bana’ ensures a way of recreating old magic.
