Desert Flame Twin Collection: The engulfing deserts……….sands all around radiating flamy heat……symbolizing eternity. A handmade twin quilt in flamy and powerful red and orange of the deserts. Made and block printed by a community of about hundred artisans based in Sanganer, outskirts of Jaipur, Rajasthan, a twin quilt that expresses the stark monotonous but symbolic attributes of the deserts.

 

Artisans: The block/screen printing and quilting community comprising of around 100 artisans are based in Sanganer, in the outskirts of Jaipur. The block prints of Sanganer are mostly executed on a white or off white background, using screen printers or wooden blocks. They are colorful patterns of sunflowers, roses, geometric designs. Sanganer prints are known for their fine and intricate detailing.
